Lessons I learn as a rookie freelancer

Breaking out as a freelancer was not planned. In fact, working as a digital marketing strategist with an IT firm, I didn’t know that there was any other option for me other than to work a 9 to 5 daily. Most freelancers come from a full-time career, managed the two simultaneously for a period and then branched out at a certain point. This  is probably the way to go. I didn’t go that route.

People are great. But unfortunately our penchant for time isn’t. But that’s primarily because many of us still do not plan ahead. Why is this significant? Because planning helps us prioritize. When you prioritize you know where your time is or should be spent. See where I am going with this? I don’t write about time management because I am an expert. I do write about it because whenever I have planned ahead, it’s always paid off

How to battle insecurity as a content creator

I know I can’t be the only one who gets insecure, calling myself a content creator. I follow a lot of great people doing amazing things and sometimes i wonder, “Wow, I don’t think I can ever be that good”. People trust what seems genuine, bold and happy. People want  to connect with someone who has it all together, someone who makes them feel empowered themselves.
