#WinterABC 7 : 5 phone apps I can’t do without
I’m an app whore! I’ll be the first to admit it. I’m always hunting for new apps to try. I tend to gravitate towards productivity apps simply because I suck at organising pretty much... anything.
But there are apps that are constant since I started using them and I couldn’t picture my life without them now. A girl needs those apps
Evernote : My life is in that app. Evernote is a note taking app which allows you to file away pretty much anything. I’ve used Evernote since 2014, and I have always found different ways to organise pretty much anything. Evernote is where I blog, write or record meeting notes. It’s also where I catalogue every client reference, and resource for work. Since it’s linked with Scannable by Evernote, I can scan receipts, document, you name it. With tags and notebooks, its pretty easy to find anything you’re looking for. When they added templates, I was totally in love. I am Evernote and Evernote is me.
Twitter : I guess it’s an easy pick when it comes to social media. Why? First of all, have you met Black Twitter? If you’re looking for a good laugh, find tweets, memes by black people and you’re sorted. As an obsessed Game of Thrones fan, I’d go find black twitter after every episode just to cope. It worked! But beyond that, I’ve connected with some amazing people who similar values and beliefs that have educated and inspired at the same time. What’s not to love ?
Google maps : I like to know where I’m going. And I’m ashamed to say that living in a country that has never made use of proper street names and addresses, Google maps is a life saver. I don’t need to know the blue kiosk behind the pear tree to find your house. Send me your location and I’ll be there.
ExpressPay : I’m really proud of this Ghanaian owned app which essentially helps you make financial transactions of different sorts. It’s just a swift and user friendly app that lets you pay bills, send money and buy airtime. And if you need customer support, they are with the quickness
Squarespace blog : I mean, that’s where my website is hosted so it goes without saying. What I love about Squarespace is it’s minimalism and sleekness. Photos are beautifully displayed, and writing font is appropriately light. Squarespace makes designing or adding new features to my website so easy. It’s pretty much like moving blocks around. It’s also where I host my Podcast. I’m not going to lie, it’s a bit on the pricey side but I couldn’t resist it.
